14. I know that I have a purpose or a gift that I am meant to share, but I need help figuring out what that is.

15. I need help to identify and assess what my personal wants and needs are for fulfillment and satisfaction.

16. I want to cultivate a sense of gratitude and grace in my life.

17. I need help to break through the obstacles that stand in the way of achieving my goals.

18. I want to find a sense of balance or fit best meets my personal and family needs.

19. I need some help to improve my relationships with others or to find a nurturing relationship.

20. I need to take better care of myself in all aspects of my life and make self-care a higher priority.

I’ve listed my top 20 here, but today let’s dive a little deeper into the first five…

1. I want to make changes or advance my career.

Where do you see yourself in 6 months, a year or 5 years in terms of your career?  For many of us, there’s a goal that we have in mind – whether it’s a promotion, opening our own business, or even finding a way to enter a completely new industry.  But unless you make a plan and stay accountable to that plan, your 5 year vision will always stay 5 years away.  A coach will not only help you identify and verbalize your professional goals, but help you devise and follow a plan that will get you there.

2. I want to be more effective in the way I work or manage my business.

Time is a commodity that no one seems to have enough of.  We all begin our day with the same 24 hours.  Are you using yours as effectively as possible?  A coach can review your daily schedule with you and help you find ways to better manage your time to be more effective with the 24 hours you’re given each day.

3. I need help to develop my ideas into work that is both financially and personally rewarding.

Sometimes we are too close to our own ideas to see a path we can take to turn them into a profitable reality.  But a coach can help you take a step back, think outside the box you’ve created and see things from a fresh angle.

4. I want to become a stronger leader and learn how to better manage people.

Leading people is a learned skill.  Yes, charisma helps, but to be a better leader, you need practice leading.  And you need to surround yourself with leaders that you respect and can learn from.  Coaches are leaders you can learn from.  And they can help you identify opportunities to practice your leadership – from offering your skills to help a community organization you care about, to raising your hand to volunteer the next time your boss introduces a new initiative at work.

5. I want to build my brand and position myself as an expert in my field.

A personal brand will show people what you stand for and help them see your unique selling proposition.  In a 2018 article on personal branding, Forbes Magazine said, “Creating the right personal brand will not only help you be known in your field and consistently land work but it could be the difference between ‘Who are you?’ and ‘Thank you for being here’ in your career.”

A good coach has built their brand and is an expert in their field.  They can help you recognize and label your expertise and turn it into your own personal brand.

Do you identify with any of these scenarios?  If so, I’d love to talk to you about coaching!
